    I have a 12g. Why would I need a 10mm? :D

Friend cleaning out his closet showed me a 1960's Sears and Roebuck, center break, single shot .410.
Absolutely primitive , heavy thing but I marveled at it. He said it was clearance time and gave it to me. :D

What is your preferred cleaning process? CLP or separate Cleaner and Oil?

I’ll run a patch soaked pretty heavy with bore cleaner down the barrel and let that sit while I’m cleaning the rest. The rest usually gets hit with CLP then your favorite oil on the parts that rub.

Either way works but I prefer separate products the majority of the time. I'll clean most with something like MPro-7 and then use Hoppes #9 for the bore and difficult carbon buildup. Currently using Lucas extreme duty oil but there are any number of good oils out there.

CLP is ok for minor shit but any heavy shooting or delayed cleaning I found it to be less than adequate. MPro7 peels that carbon right off.

Like @Gorilla George I wasn't buy for awhile after buying the last 4 I purchased last month. But wife had a great suggestion to stop by a new range an hour south of us when we were down there. She also made the suggestion I shouldn't go to a gun store and walk out empty handed. So, because we both liked the colors of this rival I walked out with it.

I'm also using the Lucas oil. I'll order some Hoppes No 9 and some MPro 7. Thanks

  20. Great choice.
