"...the drivers will ultimately do whatever they can get away with to win. At least the really successful ones do. I'm not saying that this is correct, I'm not really saying anything." Well, he said it. What a twat.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...in-three-EXPENSIVE-Grand-Prix-races-2023.html I have a girlfriend who is going to the inaugural Vegas event with her husband and they got their tickets ages ago, decided I’d let them beta test the event, lol.
Apparently, Mick Schumacher is not named after his Dad: https://www.crash.net/f1/news/10211...able-be-part-family-he-s-there-he-s-not-there Very cool, if true! But its coming from Eddie Jordan, who is nuttier than a loon.
I find the topic of F1 simulators more interesting than the races. These sims must be pretty good.... I believe the FIA limits time spent in them, so they must be pretty close to real experience (from a data perspective). I get that certain things can be dialed into the simulator and I sort of understand how they might be portrayed realistically.... HP, suspension characteristics, 4 corner geometry, tire compound, gearing. What I can't possibly fathom is how the intangibles, like the shape of the side pods, and the other aero can be simulated accurately. That's totally nuts!
Listened to a podcast that mentions McLaren does not have a wind tunnel and missed their aero goals w this car. Mclaren doesn't have a wind tunnel?
https://www.si.com/fannation/racing...ceo-provides-critical-wind-tunnel-update-jd22 Currently using Toyota's old wind tunnel
Lol. No, you didn't mess it up. Well, I don't think you did but I didn't check. You were pretty specific with your countdown and I was just being silly with the 22 minute gap between our posts. That's all.
That's pretty dirty of Zak to be putting future failures on Oscar before the season even starts. I like McLaren, huge fan of Lando, but Oscar f'd up and should have gone to Alpine.
I don't see how he blamed Oscar for anything. In the least he was giving Oscar a lifeline if he doesn't produce right away. His comment was fair. ""So no doubt, being a rookie, and he's not raced for a year, he's going to need to get a bit of his race rust off him.""
You don't have a problem with them stringing him along and potentially sitting him for a second season if they could agree on a deal with Alonso?
