I find the topic of F1 simulators more interesting than the races. These sims must be pretty good.... I believe the FIA limits time spent in them, so they must be pretty close to real experience (from a data perspective).

I get that certain things can be dialed into the simulator and I sort of understand how they might be portrayed realistically.... HP, suspension characteristics, 4 corner geometry, tire compound, gearing.

What I can't possibly fathom is how the intangibles, like the shape of the side pods, and the other aero can be simulated accurately. That's totally nuts!

 

We are 39 hours and 3 minutes from FP1.

Listened to a podcast that mentions McLaren does not have a wind tunnel and missed their aero goals w this car.

That's pretty dirty of Zak to be putting future failures on Oscar before the season even starts. I like McLaren, huge fan of Lando, but Oscar f'd up and should have gone to Alpine.

 

I don't see how he blamed Oscar for anything. In the least he was giving Oscar a lifeline if he doesn't produce right away. His comment was fair.
