Any thoughts on Daikin furnaces? Residential - Basement + 2 stories. 900sqft + 900sqft + 700sqft for basement + main + upstairs.
Check and see if the time-of-day rate has a demand charge. If so, it may well alter your cost calculations significantly.
On the commercial side, Daikin is a top quality mfg. One of, if not the best VRF manufacturers. They acquired Goodman to expand into the residential market, so it's essentially a Goodman unit. I wouldn't worry about the unit, should be good quality just comes down to install. If anything, I would expect Daikin to have improved on quality and tolerances allowed (they are a Japanese company) after acquisition of Goodman. Can't speak from experience however.
The temporary furnace that's rigged up at my house up north now is a 60k, almost new Goodman. I'd never heard of it before.
Why not? I've got two and like em. Nevermind - saw the answer is the thermostats are fine it's the stupid customers
