School me on Ducati Air Cooled Superbike Conversions...

What kind of turbine is on the stand? It appears to be old possibly out of a Mig 15? Or F 86 maybe?

 

Its a Pratt and Whitney PT6 out of a Shorts 330 cargo aircraft. Not anything special. A few parts in there were reusable/repairable but it'll make a better boat anchor. Once in a while we'll donate one to a A&P mechanics program.

 

Ah, didn’t pick it out as a turbo shaft. Is there a compressor or turbine wheel in there in good enough shape to make a mirror out of? Also looking for an old prop blade for the house..

 

Technically it's a turbo-prop. The helicopter version of the Pratt PT6's are a turbo-shaft. Pm your cell and I'll text pictures of freebie parts.
