Yamaha says it has them. Of course, depending on which Virago you're referring to. Can you be more vague?
cleaned tank but gaskets and gas valve not looking the best, tank is clean now just want to rebuild it..
Um, a 750, a 535, or an 1100? I guess checking the registration is a struggle. Then check a parts fiche
It really isn't that hard to look that stuff up, just requires a tiny bit of effort. Like knowing what you're working on.
where am I looking?? all ready asking what I mean looking for and have came up empty .... that's what I'm asking for help to find... apologize if I missed something
working on a bike sheesh no yamaha dealer within 50 miles and apologize not a a plastic card person but if can find the shit for my dad it's on my dime and time.. apologies
I had an 83 or 84 Virago 920cc when I was 17. I'm almost positive....I looked like a douche riding that thing. Flip flops, wife beater, no helmet and two pipes down the right side....setting off car alarms. Livin' the dream I loved that fucker. I think any Yamaha petcock & rebuild kit from 1988/1998 will work or can be made to work. Call these guys in San Diego, they may have something for ya. http://www.kontikimotorcycles.com +1 (858) 272-6751 They were the 3rd or 6th certified/official Kawasaki dealership in USA.
petcock....fat thumbs and Apologize...all yamaha shops and bike shops shut down from my Dads house closet is maybe 50 to 100 miles I'm just trying to find stuff so he can get it going again...has sat for 10 yrs ++ and I'm 15 hrs.. away.. he can't get parts and I'm well not knowing where parts might be for a virago.. @Big T a 750
Buy an assortment of gaskets, it's pretty generic if I recall. Round gasket ya shape/fit into that oval gasket seat/housing.
Is the VIN plate still attached to the frame? Should be up near the steering neck. If not, find the VIN, call a Yamaha dealer and ask them to verify year and model. From there a Google search for "Virago petcock" will yield numerous parts and rebuild kits.
