I was introduced to Max Angles in 2016/7 when we gridded up next to each other at VIR. I didn't know who he was since I never rode South of Summit Point before but after the hurt he put on me in that race, I knew who he was. P.S. glad to see I'm not the only one that couldn't stop a Panigale from pogo-ing.
I missed what happened to gagne in warmup this morning and looks like those sessions still haven’t been uploaded. What did he do?
He forgot to pump his brakes in the morning warm up and hit the pit out wall. Needless to say he's pretty beat up and pulled in after a few laps.
Broadcast showed he crashed in warmup on the pit exit skinny path and ran into the barrier. They said his brake lever hadn’t been pumped and he had no brakes on first squeeze. It wasn’t clear why he abandoned the race unless it was simply pain from that crash. Edit: what he said
Motoamerica Live+ is not impressing me. $110 doesn't even get you synced audio/video, plus it loses connection every few minutes.
For all the potential BS of the next Gen Supersport rules, I gotta say it’s cool to see Cam, Hayes, Herrin, Slick, Richie, Paasch, May and more all dicing it up in one race. Too bad Gagne is out but so far the bikes seem to be well Matched and it’s way more exciting that the usual SBK race.
