that’s all it’s ever been, again no politics involved. It’s like the litmus test asking someone what the meting point of steel is and then asking them to calculate free fall/acceleration due to gravity, even if you give them the 9.8m/s/s that everyone should already know. Then you ask them to review the New York skyline. The world is full of stupid people and we keep getting signs to point them out. nobody that has ever worked in a dirty environment would have the audacity to think a mask blocked anything of substance. All the bodywork, drywallers, excavators are smarter than all the doctorates for sure. And even if it was sealed show them the size of a 95 micron hole and the size of what they act like it keeps it. It’s just ignorant and the hardest part to take is that the general population really is that ignorant.
See, keep letting them divide us... we were enjoying rooting for a great rider... until he got drug into being a martyr for their cause. This isn’t political guys it’s an assault on life and it will never stop unless everyone stops it. Meaning stop doing anything anyone demands of you when not involving others, do what you decide is best for you. Danilo didn’t do that as he’s shown before and after an agenda was pushed on him.
Agreed and his big jovial smile is part of his likability. Actually that’s probably why it caught my eye so much, normally pissy faced riders you wouldn’t care but he wears his emotions with pride, all of them and hope he continues to do so.
until you brought up something that's completely irrelevant to the race. He is a grown-up. He doesn't need you or any of us to defend him from his overlords. You can't say your support him deciding what's best for him in the middle of complaining about what he decided to do. Did you see two people grab his arms while in third person forced a mask onto his face? If not, then he decided to put it on, regardless of what his motivation was. Which is exactly what you support. So, what gives?
All these darn rules we have to follow, like stopping for a stoplight, using your turn signal, and then when you go into a store, you have to wear shoes and a shirt and now a mask, the inhumanity of it all.
Gotdamn, y’all are snowflaking it up in here. I’m psyched to see Petrucci participate (and that he appears to be coming to MotoAmerica)
If you can't see a picture of a guy wearing as mask without having such a dramatic reaction, then you're clearly not capable of rational discourse on this subject. You've let all the propaganda on both side radicalize you. It's a mask. Calm down.
Haven't seen it mentioned and haven't followed closely, but watched day 3 highlights on the 'tube. Carlos Checa also debuted this year, albeit on 4 wheels. Car/truck kinda thing. It was hard to tell as his only coverage involved the vehicle parked on its roof in the desert!
It sucks what happened to cause him to fall behind " he switched from the rear fuel tank to the front fuel tank after 70 miles and a fuel-pump fuse blew. Went to call his mechanics but found his pouch containing phone, passport, money had gone"
F'in' A. That is a tremendous finish. Sure, he started late, could follow tracks, didn't really have to sweat the navigation, and could ride as a man with absolutely nothing to lose, but . . . damn! For a rookie! No doubt he has mad talent. I'm glad to see it. Cheers, Dave
Also, don't forget Joan Lascorz is also running Dakar. And current GP riders have helped his cause, as his effort was crowdsourced "backing from fans and other professional riders including Marc Marquez, Pol Espargaro, Alex Rins, Jonathan Rea, Alex Lowes, Ana Carrasco & Pedro Acosta" https://www.visordown.com/news/gene...ly-raises-€15000-his-dakar-2022-rally-attempt
