everyday Im moving closer to getting rid of "things" I dont need. Of course that gets derailed the moment I get an opportunity to buy a bike Ive always wanted. A buddy of mine is scared shitless that if he passed his stuff would be flea market priced or worse yet... put in a dumpster. I keep breaking his balls to unpickle his stuff and ride it!!
I would add a 91-92 ZX7 to the list, yea it is a 4 stroke but they are F-in cool and available for not a fortune. And they do make me wiggle a little.
See, that's the problem with a thread like this. I'm sure, given space and cash a ZX750 (green, white and blue one) would end up at the warehouse. That would lead to a GSXR750 or three and an 851 parked next to it, ya' know, to balance it all out. Next thing you know you have a collection of 40 plus bikes and you start a thread about culling the herd and what 5 bikes should I get/ keep.
I am not sure about owning bikes I am too concerned about to ride but of course I don't have the money for "one of" historical race bikes. For me it is a mute point. I do not plan to ever sell my TZ250 but it is nothing compared to a "one of" bike. If I had the money, for me something like a TZ750 would be high on the list because they could be kept running since there are reproduction parts. Are there bikes you currently own that ten years from now you will be sorry you sold? I am sorry I sold my Ducati 1975 tower shaft 900SS because they could still be kept up for riding and the values just keep going up. Do you have anything like Barton motor Suzuki's or Yamaha TDs? That kind of stuff would be hard to part with. If you have a beat up/apart/incomplete TZ350 please sell it to me. Haha. Please buy an RGB500 and bring it to the track even for just parade laps!! Just keep an ambulance on call if you plan on getting it in the power band.
Pretty simple formula- they're awesome, unique, and very few built. Insulting and inaccurate to mention the MHR900e in the same breath.
Here's my current junk pile: 92 Yamaha TZ250 94 Yamaha TZ250 84 Yamaha RZ350 85 Yamaha RZ500 92 Yamaha TZR250RS 92 Honda RS125 92 Honda NSR250 86 Honda NS400R 99 Honda RS250R 02 Ducati Bostrom 998 92 Suzuki RGV250 82 Suzuki Katana 1000 02 Aprilia RS250 Cup 00 Aprilia RS250 Race 02 Aprilia RS250 Street 07 Aprilia RS125 Street 72 Yamaha TA125 74 Suzuki Titan 500 74 Suzuki GT750 04 Yamaha Zuma 50
