https://www.asphaltandrubber.com/rumors/kawasaki-buys-bimota/ Considering the source, but still, and interesting concept. Kawi supercharged motors in Bimota frames being sold to the premium market? Or, Kawasaki using Bimota frame knowledge to punch up some of their models?
I read that on speedweek and just can't figure out how this would fit. Kawasaki doesn't need Bimota and it makes no sense to me. Moto2 chassis? an entry into moto3? WSBK bikes using Bimota chassis, Kawasaki motors and marketed as Bimotas (and used as a test team for chassis ideas)? In a world of wacky shit this would be way up there.
Yeah they did. It’s Kawasaki heavy industries as the buyer, so not bikes per se, but of course obvious. Local bimota gut here got overly excited about these news, I guess rightfully. If they keep them rolling as is
It looks like they gave 2 different engineering departments the task of designing one half of a new bike and they both designed the rear.
With that weird swingarm-looking front, I can't help but think of CatDog. What the hell is going on with bikes lately? Feel like they just keep getting uglier and uglier?
I think it’s a super cool engineering exercise, and I am hopeful that it’s making something close to 300 HP. If I had unlimited funds, I’d for sure rock one. But, Fugly!
