Hi everyone, I’m putting together a crf150r on some 12” wheels to mess around at the local kart track. I’ve already done the wheels, tires, brakes, and sliders, but I really need some suspension work. So far the only options I’ve found are revalving and springs from race tech, or ohlins. I’m just wondering if anyone on here has experience with either of these options, or if anyone knows something else I can do. I know some guys on kx65s that are using a zx6r shock. Anyone do something similar with the 150r??
Lower and firm up the suspension, transformed mine. Had the work done locally in NE Ohio by a guy I've worked with for years. The 150R is now a real kart track weapon and stewpid fun. Good luck and have fun
I have one! Keith at Road and Track did the suspension. Lowered about 5 inches. He is out of San Antonio TX
With 12s you will not want to lower it the pegs drag pretty easy without lowering it. I ran 17s with out lowering much just the forks in the clamps and mine was better than most I rode that were lowered. For the record I had both 12s and 17s.
Good looking build! Details what you're doing with suspension please. Keep it up! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Had Bobby loo with motorrrev set them up. It took forever due to some logistical reasons and a mess up by USPS, but they’re supposed to arrive tomorrow
I'm really liking the Magura HC1 12mm radial master with the 250/450 caliper. They can be found new on eBay for just over $200. The o.e. 250/450 masters work well also and they can be had for $50+/-.
I was considering running a 600rr master cylinder that I have but thought it may be too much?? I need to at least rebuild my stock master. I've bled it multiple times and after a day it pulls straight to the bar. Sent me off the track last week.
I think you're much better off either rebuilding yours or picking up a 250/450 unit. The 600RR master will give probably give you a lever pull that's hard as a rock. I rode a friend's mini once that had an o.e. Ducati radial Brembo and it was terrible.
