You can be considered impaired even if you're not behind the wheel anymore.
We've gone completely off the deepend regarding drinking and driving laws chasing the magical "if it only saves one life" unicorn. This is completely insane.
I know, Canuckistan needs to make alcohol illegal! It worked so well for us in the US, they should give it a try. This gives "Canadian Club" a whole new meaning.
Holy shit that is fucked up. The Gestapo can come to your door at any time and demand a breathalizer test without reasonable suspicion? And then you are guilty until you can prove yourself innocent? Anyone who thinks that this is a good thing is a complete fucking idiot...
C'mon man. That was a bit mean. Although enough people voted for Trudeau to get him elected that I really can not argue...
The people who think this is a good thing are the people filling the prisons with slave labor for private firms (yes - Canada sells prison labor too), and lining their public coffers with money from fines.
FTFY. And the fuck if I would even consider answering my door it I have a drink. I can see through my door. Then I will wait for them to get a warrant.
I'm not going to even start about how 'effed up Canaduh is; So you drive somewhere, THEN have a beer or 3, don't drive anymore, they can STILL breathilize you and you'd be guilty? Even if when you had driven, you wold have passed the test? ? ? How's this work again? This is already a law up there? do they have lawyers? A Supreme Court? ANY civil rights? Just 'effing nuke then too while we're at it ;-) Don't they know that ETOH in moderation is good for you? ;-)
