What's the point of stuff like this? I see them all the time, some outlandish scenario, sick person, free stuff, or potential for money, and all begging to be shared. Do the original posters get some sort of monetary incentive for how many times something is shared?
People want to feel like they helped others out. They feel this is a way to do it. Kinda like changing your pic to "stand with [insert country here]" when a terrorist attack happens, like it will help anything at all.
By sharing, sure. I'm asking about the people that make the posts up in the first place. I feel like the majority are fake. Bill Gates isn't going to pay for some kids brain surgery if 10,000 people "like" a photograph.
Funny, I read it was from 2011, originally, but I just saw it last night too. Weird how things get regurgitated.
People are stupid, other people like to take advantage of that and see how far the stupid people will spread the stupid.
I love the "missing/found" dog posts that never list where they are. So, it gets shared around the world and one of my friends ends up trying to find the owner of a dog that someone found in Bern, Switzerland..............
