my first car was a 1983 320i... always wanted to mod to full race car in high school.(never did obv lol)
must have quad lights and amber corners... classic m scheme would be cool re created with a big minolta scheme for that blue
Any of the classic white with blue and red stripes is the only acceptable color for a vintage race BMW, IMO.
that Warsteiner shit is awesome too. made a TOJ(Jorg Obermoser Team) nose in 2013 that was sweet b/c the logo was recessed in the mold from the thick stickers here it is as full bat mobile mid-late 70s
I think I have seen that Eddie Cheever car in person. A few years ago we were racing at Road America, and they had 3 or 4 of those lined up at the far end of the paddock towards Turn 1. There were a couple of different models, but I'm almost positive that was one of them. I'll see if I can dig up the pictures. I'll post if I can find them.
Gotta be the motorsport stripes on white. The CSL race cars in the BMW museum in Munich are some of my favorite cars in the world. The Jager ones are cool but for me its gotta be the motorsport colors.
My first car was a '79 320i 4-spd Henna red, tan cloth interior. Ended up with two parts cars, a crashed '78 blue with navy vinyl interior since I needed an engine and then a a non-running white '81 320i S model with pristine black vinyl interior with Recaros I swapped to mine and some of the S stuff - rear sway bar, etc. I loved those Recaros, so great on long trips with the thigh extension! I see they are getting popular again, don't think I'd want another one though. Hard to go wrong with a Motorsports scheme, Warsteiner is cool and Jagermeister looks good too.
