I know this is going to sound shitty but... Why do I care? Should I? Because at the moment, I don't give a flying fig about Zimbabwe.
It was a British colony followed by all white rule followed by a dictatorship. Seems like there was no bad path just screwed up all around
I don’t know about all that. Generally speaking, the guy being bought out makes out pretty well. Jus sayin.
Because if they were to turn the corner it would be one less shithole in this world. That means less people fleeing it. That means less people radicalized or turning to communism. That means less wasted human potential of unknown value. Or do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
If you own the place. If you are peasant worker you generally get to start looking for a new gig sooner rather than later.
This. I have been one of the peons in a couple corporate take overs / buy outs and things have never gotten better for anyone other than a few at the top...
I really really tried. I seriously did. Still don’t care. Let’s fix our own back yard before we worry about someone else’s.
Unfortunately Zimbabwe is in a weak position which makes it ripe for superpower countries to take over, put in a puppet regime and strip mine the place making it equally worse for the citizens
Yeah. Still don’t care. Africa is not a politically stable continent so exerting resources there is money energy and lives wasted. And the regime that was just ousted wasn’t maybe a puppet government. Just cut the losses and move on.
Certainly concentrate on your own yard but that does not mean you should ignore your neighbors lest they become your problem also.
So we should focus on Canadia & Mexico. Gotcha. I realize you’re American, but even MY geography lessons learned me better.
So if the serial killer lives 3 houses down it is cool since he is not your neighbor. It was an allegory not literal.
