Who's going to see it ? I'm cautiously excited. I like the director (Denis Villeneuve), but this is very precious to me and I sure hope they don't f@ck it up. Lots of media hype right now on this.
That's the way to do it. I doubt it can have the same profound effect it did on me when I saw the original as an easily impressed 14 year old. My "matured" point of view is probably as significant as the movie itself in my final appreciation...
I'm going, and I agree the original was a more than a movie at least to what I was relating to in my youth and even now. No expectation though, just enjoy the show(hopefully). Mike
I read that if you go in with high expectations you'd better be ready to go home. . . floored at how good it is.
looking forward to Blade Runner. I did make the mistake of seeing American Assassin last week. My friend asked me how was the movie, I said it was a remake of Pretty Woman but Julia Roberts character was recast as a dude. Sucked a lot of dick
The article didn't go into the plot or much beyond make sure not to miss the first 5 or 10 minutes of the movie. They gave it an A-. Some crap in there about it being like 2.5 hours or some shit.
Critics over here are raving about it, saying it's the best thing since shaved genitals, but I tend to take them with a grain of salt since Villeneuve is a local guy and I think they might be a little chauvinistic.
