    F*ck that shit.

Butter and coconut oil are LOADED with saturated fat, #1 contributor to heart disease. If you want to add fat to your diet there are much healthier options to choose from.

I'd choose green tea with a bit of lemon and stevia for an AM drink......course that's just me :)

So Bulletproof Coffee. First it isn't just butter it is grass fed butter and a medium chain triglyceride oil (like coconut oil) which is then blended with coffee (Dave wants you to buy his coffee citing some mold that is present and in commercial coffees, it tastes like shit). It produces a frothy cup of coffee. My wife drinks it daily. I tried it and found it upset my stomach.

There has been a lot of research into fats and a lot of it has debunked the role of fats in heart disease. Fat is a necessary nutrient. My wife's cousin is an Olympic weightlifting coach and really well known in the crossfit community. Those of you involved will probably know who he is or have at least used a bar named after him. He drinks BP coffee and swears by it. He's in his seventies and in amazing shape.

Personally, I think Aspry is a snake oils salesman but I don't see any harm in BP coffee. I just didn't like it and I typically like my coffee black.

Meh, I feel that the fat fears need to just die. Nearly everyone in my MMA gym is on a Keto diet and pretty much eat nothing but fat. They are some of the fittest people I know and all of their bloodwork always comes back perfect. As for the coffee, I like it. Though I agree that the guy who is pushing his "bulletproof" crap is full of it. You can make the same thing yourself a lot cheaper.

Pretty sure that wouldn't stay in my system long enough to benefit before it would be clamoring to come out the other end.

Yeah, you'd shit your pants and not get a chance to peel the bathroom wallpaper. You'd get the rumbles, have to run to your phone to post up on the BBS on what you should do and *WHAM* ruined your man thong, your capris and most likely your cruelty free emo shoes.

Well... sounds better than the creamer that is made from water, sugar, and vegetable oil. Which is almost all creamers!

I can see it when cutting weight, but if you're training hard and not taking in carbs... good luck with that.

Not really any luck involved. They train like crazy. The only time they drop off keto is the week or two following a fight. They are doing it under the supervision of a specialist though. They seem to have no problem hitting their fitness goals. The lighter guys are obviously not trying to gain any weight, but the heavier ones have packed on lots of muscle and carry very little fat at all times. They won't shut up about how much more energy it gives them to train harder. I've considered following suit for the simple fact that those bastards eat bacon and steak with butter on it and get to call it a "diet"

ETA: they do "carb up" just before training. But we are talking less than 50 grams or so. Also, they all comment they were pretty miserable the first week or two, but felt fine after an adaptation period.

    Phl218 .

    well.

my morning coffee consists of a quadruple organic fair trade espresso, 1/2 tbsp black seed oil, pink Himalayan salt, turmeric, cinnamon, grass fed bison butter (unsalted) and coconut oil. sometimes a little peanut butter.

blended at 26k rpm for 24 seconds in the vitamix.

y'all can decide now if it's really the case or if i made it up.
