We're still not sure if the transmission had all 6 gears. The tear down didn't go that far and a couple of cogs may have been removed prior to the sale too.
As the stenographer, and just for my own sense of where we are, I'm going to try and re-cap. Please feel free to add red power bands and Broome Approved (tm) Sticky notes to correct this. Pre-OP discussion. Engine builder built 2mm overbore. Not enough time/money to do dream list of parts, so it's reverted to a +2mm Stock Motor with stock parts. Fancy Brake master and other non-engine trick bits added. Original Purchaser (F.B. Sr.) owes/owed builder $$$ for this, and at least one other build. F.B. Jr. Races both this bike (+2mm) and another bike. At some point, F.B. Sr. sells +2mm bike, implying or stating 'dream list of parts' on it, as well as +2mm to the O. P. Transaction happens, cash goes one way and "+2mm dream motor" minus some parts go to the O.P. Cash Received & Bike Received. Some racing happens and motor isn't quite as fresh/quick/fast as expected. Leads to discussion, which leads to yelling, which leads to O.P. posting about his experience with F.B. Sr. Which leads to engine tear down at O.P.'s expense with neutral builder. Ongoing BEEB discussion, mob tendencies, and some bored dude invented the Tacti-Carlton (tm) pitch forks with flashlight & rails while waiting to see if we would storm the castle. Chip is a standup guy that corners low & Chip Wins (per Jim Race) John U. is a standup guy that corners low & always wins, since the pen is mightier than just about anything. This leaves us with: F.B. Sr. may/may not owe engine builder money still (TBD, but not really relevent to O.P.'s discussion) Trick bits went missing from bike that was sold *with* trick bits to O.P. Motor is not what was originally represented (fancy parts not there, overbore is there) and sold to O.P. What's going to happen on next week's episode of "The Cop vs. The Russian" Will F.B. Sr. pay the engine builder? Will F.B. Sr. pay the O.P the difference between the "+2 Dream Motor with trick bits" and the "It's really the ugly cousin with +2mm" ? Will there be legal action? What am I missing?
Yep. Like Smokey yunic running the fuel lines through his frame rails at Daytona. They confiscated the fuel tank, but he still drove the car the few miles down the street to his shop
In the latest RRW, there is suspicion with the winner in 600 SSTK, in one of the MA rounds this year. The article mentions the bike had highest trap speeds and walked the other bikes. I'm surprised no one protested it?
Is it just me, or have The Large Man, The Angry Short Dude and Papa Whitey gone uncharacteristically silent in this thread?
The fancy parts appear to be anonymous (or at least missing) and are are most notably NOT on the bike... ( May be hard to believe, but apparently fancy parts sometimes just go missing... )
