Where does it state that I argued with a cop or resisted arrest?

    I'll wait here....

Oh by the way, your liberal selective reading must have accidentally passed where I asked you to read the little article.

Can we trouble you to do that or do we need to wait?

Doesn't matter if he reads it. Factual analysis still wont overcome emotional blindness. Whenever a white cop kills a black man he is always wrong. That's actually a quote from the liberal handbook :D

What does the handbook say about a black man kills a white cop?

or better yet, incites black people to hunt them down and kill them?

Funny, couldn't find anything on CNN or MSNBC on Farrakhan's speech. They did cover the killing of the police officer in Memphis, but the head lines didn't seem to cover who was what color?

I don't know, maybe because it's an active investigation and these things are supposed to be handled by the judicial system and not the media?

Why do you people seem to have forgotten that? It's not the job of the media or of the countless mindless jack offs that jump on whatever biased bandwagon to determine guilt or innocence. It's the job of the courts. We have a very specific, very thorough system in place to deal with these things so shut the fuck up and let the process work. Then, AFTER the system has done its job, feel free to toss in your two cents.

Of course if we all only discussed the facts, the dungeon would be a lonely place.

Nope. The behavior of law enforcement in this country has eliminated the benefit of the doubt they once enjoyed. They should be under a public microscope the minute they do anything. We should relentlessly watch them, film them, and demand their information at every turn.

Dont like it? Find another career.

Bullshit. It's not about law enforcement, it's about the people who are on "trial". The same argument stands for pretty much anybody accused of a crime nowadays. The media is such a bloodthirsty beast that the accused is already tried, convicted, and hanged before bail is made. Even if the person is exonerated, their life as they know it is over.

Specifically regarding law enforcement, yes, there should be lots of oversight, but not at the cost of denying them their due process of making an already thankless and dangerous job even worse.

Watching this unfold on the local news it is tragically comic how everyone is grasping at straws to add weight to their argument...

Sorry, Flex, but they don't have to find another career, accommodate your demands, or do anything else you want them to do, just because you and your fellow fuckheads don't like they way they do things.

  13. I didn't see where you asked me to read an article.

Are you fucking serious? So you don't think the police need oversight? I question who the fuckhead is...

  15. Actually, Fonda's right. The tide is turning. Cameras are exposing a lot of bullshit that some police do.

Actually cameras are causing a shit ton of knee jerk reactions based on emotion and not facts. Most people lack the critical thinking skills to actually determine facts. They are unable to figure out the stakeholders and what benefits them. They are unwilling to look for and at unbiased facts. They are unwilling to look at both sides based on any new information. In short you are giving people a two dimensional picture and asking them to make judgements in a three dimensional world. Few have the willingness to pursue the truth and fewer have the skill sets.

  17. Yes, in some cases, like with Eric Garner, for instance, the truth still gets swept under the rug, even when the video pretty obviously shows manslaughter at the very least.

  18. Rob P

    Rob P Well-Known Member

See, that is exactly what I am talking about. The video shows no such thing. The garner video shows Garner being taken down by what is called a "seatbelt takedown", not a chokehold as the mayor called it. So here is how the critical thinking breaks down. Mayor has a black child and a black constituency. Police brutality, correction white on black police brutality, is the current hot ticket item in politics. It gets huge coverage on news and social media. If you are a politician and your community has a large voting block who sees things one way you are more than likely to pander to them so they don't become angry. So you throw one officer under the bus because it benefits you.
Fast forward to the Garner grand jury. You have a group of jurors who look at all the evidence, including the video and return a decision of no indictment. So the group of people who have the most information know less than someone who watched one video?

So here is a question for you:

How does someone fall from a stationary vehicle and and up 20-30 feet away?

shoot the person behind the wheel in the head and their foot comes off the brake?
