Just my guess, but I was thinking an official press announcement might hold off till around September 15th. Relevant industry folks likely already know the deal.
I have a pretty good feeling that next year, roadracing will kick ass here in the US. And that's all I'm allowed to say. Sworn to secrecy. -jim
I am hoping that road racing in the US is making moves to be better in 3 years.....no matter what happens, it won't be a night and day change from one season to the next. This is going to take time to fix...
Its going to take a couple of those years to get money flowing the right direction in the sport. I think 3 years is a reasonable time frame.
Road Racing in the US is missing 2 key factors. Organization Money Dorna is very good at one and has the contacts, legitimacy, past performance and pull for the other.
Depending on who else they tap for things, Rainey and Schwantz would also help bring it to the public with good backgrounds.
