+1 Also agree with what BigBird said below your post. The few things he mentioned are the only things I consider in cause for separation. Just mine and my wife's beliefs together.

That number is high...1/2 of first marriages don't fail. 1/2 of all marriages fail and that includes those people who are serial marriers...so the number of 1st time marriages failing is much lower.
^ This. Getting married is like handing someone the keys to your life and saying "I trust you not to screw me over, but if you do I'll gladly give you half my stuff, and subsidize your new life." It's a sham. Child support I get. But alimony, etc is as outdated as a rotary phone. If I was a girl I would absolutely get married. It's a win-win proposition. Don't like your husband anymore? No sweat, end it and get paid. Wanna bang someone else while you're still married? No worries, go right ahead, and when he finds out end it and get paid. Yeah, I'm a little bitter.
Advice from some one that has been married for 20 years. There is only one piece of advice I give to anyone that brings up the question marriage to me, and it's only one word! RUN. P.S good luck!.....don't say we didn't warn ya!!!! LOL
People change. 10-15 years from now that attractive charming girl may be barrell-assed and drive you absolutely batshit nuts and you can't stand the thought of sticking your dick in her anymore let alone being seen with her. On the flipside.. 10-15 years from now spreading your DNA with the attractive, insecure, perky breasted new secretary at work may seem like a great idea. Protect your assets, even if for your own dumb mistakes. Who knows how divorce law will play out in 20, 30, 40 years. Who knows how your life will play out in 20,30, 40 years.
No I have an idea. Your question was dumb as the info is so easily found. There is your stats from the organization of disease control. http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/divorce.htm
Even if you don't get married, if you cohabitate, common-law marriage will come into play at some point. You can still get cleaned out.....
