What age are you guys planning to retire at? Or did retire at? Some people love what they do, but I'll be damned if I'm going to clock into a job any longer than I have to. It's my friggin' life, my friggin' time. 29 years old now. I'm checking out by 50. 55 at the latest.
Got a plan for that? If so, it probably shouldn't include a wife, kids, any unexpected illness or accidents, job loss etc.
Yeah, or crooked bankers / wall street wrecking the economy and taking all your money with it. The way things are going and with where I think we're headed I don't honestly know if I'll be able to retire. I can see having to drag myself out here to work at 70.
Aiming at 55. The downside is that no man in my family has lived past 54. So I'll feel like a winner if I see 55 either way really.
Plan your own retirement don't depend on your employer's plans. I've seen many many retirees back at work because that employer provided investment tanked.
Yep. Had a great job with a retirement plan. company matched everything I put in 2-to-1! I contributed the maximum each month. Lost a couple hundred thou when they went tango uniform.
should do like my brothers... have a life plan at 17... join the military at 18*. Retire at 38. *- they still have to turn 18
