Makes you wonder why he didn't do better in AMA... Did he ever flat-out win a race? Either way, pretty cool!

He won the Daytona 200 on an Attack Kawasaki in 2008.

Do not underestimate the influence of spec tires, vs. a few teams getting better tires than other teams.

Martin Cardenas won 0 races in 2008, 7 races in 2009, 9 races in 2010. 2008 was the last year of open tire warfare in AMA Pro; starting in 2009, AMA Pro ran spec tires, which made a huge difference.

World Supersport is a spec tire class.

Dunlop sold our endurance team an AMA spec front tire for an 6 hour race at TWS about 10 years ago. They quickly realized their mistake and showed up at hot pit to get it back. It not only lasted the entire race but left the riders gushing over the incredible grip.
