http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=43630 Thought this was interesting. Seems everyone HAS to have the ohlins. Ive always loved the penske shock for its simplicity and ease of tuning. Good to see them making a big step.
i started off with the cheapest Ohlins shock i could get my hands on...didnt know what the hell to do with it so sold it. Then cop a penske and had folks like CTR John, Rich from Pirelli and a gang of racers teach me how to dail in the penske. I love it <3 I also love the face that i can get them retor fitted for all my newer bikes.
Love my Penske......plus I'm only an hour and change away from Penske over in Reading PA for service and such.
I had bike with them and other stuff - it's all pretty good. More depends on the rider and suspension tech than who makes the parts.
Sounds like they're looking for cost savings. Pay Ohlins eleventy bazillion a year to work on their suspension or . . . Wanna bet K-tech makes an appearance this year?
Competition... even during the weekend. That will keep the tuners on their toes. I see some sleepless nights for those guys...
Its good to see more manufactures being given the chance to prove themselves. This can only help everyone in the long run. K-tech is on PJ's 848evo.
