http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2007/Aug/070712a.htm Damn... That is one tough mutherf@cker!!! Chuck Norris, Jack Bauer, and Jason Bourne ain't got nuthin' on Miggy!!!
he is one of the oldest racers on the professional circuit and he still does well. Still a godsend for Honda IMHO and a VERY nice and down to earth guy. U just need to meet Miggy, absolutely a great person.
Obviously I've never raced with him, but I've had 3 of 4 googly-eyed fan type conversations with him over the years, and he was always nice to me. Once I presented my DuHamel rep. lid for him to sign, and he stopped what he was doing and went into the trailer to get a paint pen, because it would last better than the marker he had in his hand...I thought that was pretty cool. Besides, he's short! Who doesn't like short guys?
I like Miggy. Of course I like Mat. When you're as big a dipshit as me everyone seems cooler. It's good to hear he's healing up so quickly. Chalk it up to conditioning and overall toughness I guess. The article leaves me kind of wondering if he's planning on returning this season, especially with Honda not bothering to put a replacement rider on the seat for VIR.
Damn, good to hear hes doing well... but i'd love to have seen video of that wreck... someones gotta have it somewhere. ha
That's what Chris V. said Sunday when they put him in the ambulance. He is one of the toughest SOB's I know. Get well Chris:up:
