This is a bone stock BMW S1000R with pump gas in it from the gas station down the street....I put 34miles on it before we pulled the trigger. This is the same curve vs. a bone stock 2009 GSX-R1000....just for relevance: This is the most power we have ever seen out of a stock bike on our dyno.....ever.....here is the BMW vs. a bone stock 2009 Hayabusa:
its definately king of the hill in the hp department, i just cant bring myself to buy one if nobody buys my bike i might have to trade it for a 1198s but thats a last resort
Is the BMW's 80 ft lb torque spread a better situation over the Gixxer's higher torque values? If I'm reading the chart right.
Here's a photo of another RD project bike. Not only is the power spectacular (even though it's still restricted to 9k RPM, though this will change on Friday) and it rides great once you knock out a few clicks of compression.
So the blue line is the beemer and the red line is the Hire-a-bussa, right? The peak number of the BMW is pretty impressive, but the Suzuki makes way more power everywhere until 10K. At 7K the Suzuki is making 150 to the BWM's 77. Off the turns the Suzuki would destroy the BMW (assuming someone could get a 'Busa to turn) Chip - can you put the GSXR graph up for comparison?
No, no trouble reading, but thank you for your concern. I can only see one graph and it does not contain a GSXR run.
There are three graphs posted....one with just he Beemer, one vs. a GSXR, and one vs. a Busa for kicks and giggles... Here is the GSXR again..
