FS: '88 Hawk GT in NC

Reluctantly selling this for for my buddy. He loves the bike, but it's rarely ever ridden any more, and he hasn't been in the motorcycle mood for quite some time now.

Blue, '88 Hawk GT. 2 owner bike, 6700 original miles. Runs unbelievably well, lots of new bits. No leaks, no running issues, etc. Tasteful modifications including;

-Full M4 aluminum high mount exhaust
-custom plate mount
-jet kit
-Uni pod filters
-Woodcraft clip-ons
-MotionPro cables
-adjustable shorty CRG levers
-vintage Two Brothers brake reservoir cap
-mirrors and turn signals removed (wiring/mounting all completely intact)
-S.S. front brake line
-S.S. rear brake line through the swingarm
-Nissin 4-piston caliper w/carrier

Recently replaced parts include;

-new carb slides
-fresh spark plugs
-carb mounting gaskets
-cush drive rubbers
-tank petcock
-fuel filter


Overall, the bike is in beautiful shape. The frame and swing-arm are mint, the original paint has a deep shine, and the gold powdercoating on the wheels just "pops." The only downside is from when my buddy dropped it at the Hawk rally a couple years back. The cowl is pretty beat up on the left side, and the fender has 2 small dings, and some surface scratches near the gas cap. The tank would be perfect with a good buffing and paintless dent removal.

The rear cowl can be salvaged with some work, but the best part is; you don't have to bother. The bike comes with a NOS, pre-painted, pre-decaled blue rear cowl. New in the box, never been mounted to a bike, MINT.

The bike comes with a bunch of awesome extras as well.

-Full F2 front end- forks, wheel, calipers, rotors, and stainless brake lines
-black VFR 5 spoke rear wheel
-NOS rear cowl
-original exhaust
-original mirrors
-original turn signals
-original jets and airbox
-original tail kit (un-cut)



















Priced at $3k or best reasonable offer. Bike can be sold cheaper without the F2 front end, VFR wheel, and new rear cowl. These parts would be available for sale AFTER the bike is sold, assuming the new owner doesn't want them.
