2002 Graves Yamaha Aaron Gobert's Formula Extreme R7 Race Bike - CA Street Legal

2002 Yamaha R7/R1 FX, R7 chassis with R1 engine, 11000 miles on chassis, about 700 miles on engine, C.P. pistons, Carillo rods, Kit transmission, Kit stator, Kit ECU, electric shifter, World Superbike front end and cooling set up, quick change wheels for Daytona, all carbon fiber bodywork. Aaron Gobert's Formula Extreme Championship bike from 2002-2003. I'm not sure you couldn't duplicate this bike for less than $40k if you could even get the same parts.

I'm posting this for a friend. If you have any specific questions. Please feel free to call Derek at 818-979-5857. $15,000.

This bike is very rare, very fast and handles like no other R1.

The wheels are Marchesini Magnesium and it has the WSB slipper clutch. The bike is just as it was race by Graves with the lights added to the race bodywork and the plate on the back. Everything else is original and can be confirmed by Chuck Graves if needed. The engine was completely rebuilt 700 miles ago by Graves Yamaha. The bike is the real deal. The two other R7 bikes sold for over $20k each and weren't even street legal.

I agree, wtf is that frame?!? I spent the last 10 min google-ing r7's and r1's and can't figure it out, i looked up aaron and formula extreme... nothin matched! It's definitaly not a stock r7 frame, all of em' look just like the beam frame hatchet posted a pic of...???

and if anyone else try's to figure it out make sure to examine the welds. I found an r1 frame pic that was extremely similar in shape but the welds didn't match???

The bike is an R1, the frame is 51% R1/ 49% R7. Graves was famous for this when FX was really extreme.

The Graves R71 was indeed a hybrid frame, with the front half from an 02/03 R1, and the back half from an R7. That's the way Pete's bike is (at least the pics I've seen).

After looking at the pics again, the frame appears to be all R1. Either way, it's still a bad ass bike!!!
