    I'm guessing R1.

I would like that same work on my R6.

JohnR1 of Phat, what was the cost for that and the turn around?

Interestingly, the FRB says, "Rear rotors may be modified however must still remain functional." It says absolutely nothing about the front rotors, so I would assume that would fall under the catch-all clause "The items above constitute the entire realm of deviation from showroom stock for Superstock classes. If it does not mention you CAN do it, you CAN NOT."

In other words it appears it would be SS legal to have them lighten your rear rotor but not the front(s).

Guys, in Superstock you may Lighten the rear rotor but NOT the fronts

    Superbike rules are different

The average weight savings on a rear rotor is about 1 pound! there is no loss of braking power! however there is a measurable increase in HP. Losing 1 LB of unsprung weight is like taking 7 lbs of of the seat! The net result would be the simular to a lightened flywheel.

We charge 77.00 to lighten the rear rotor and 87.00 each for the fronts. Plus return freight.

We have been lightening rotors for 5 years and every customer has been very happy with the service.

So as far as the design, do you pick it?

I have a 07 R6 and I like John R1's alot. I assume you can do the same to mine?

Is it safe to lighten front rotors for racing?

As far as the design goes, the pattern is dictated by where the factory drilled holes are.

Second question, The rotors are safe for racing, but the are not legal in Superstock classes!!!!

+1 for Phat Chance products.......I bought the wheel alignment tool several months ago and used it immediately upon arrival......street 1000RR, track 1000RR, street 600RR, girlfriend's 600RR and everytime that I change tires with my NoMar. It is one of the most useful motorcycle related products that I have ever purchased.
