2006 ZX6r 636 $2500

I bought the bike to fix but the wife wasn't too happy w/ all of my other projects. So I'm going to try and sell it as is or I will fix it in time. It has been laid down on the right side at slow speed but the generator case caught something and broke the lower engine case. I had a guy look at it and he said he could weld it back up. Bike has 6,xxx miles, blue in color, left side, forks, swing arm, frame, subframe, tires, rims, etc are all good. It will need: engine fixed or replaced, right clip one, plastic air intake, rear cowl, upper, rt side fairings, and misc small things. $1000 or less you can be up and running! Bike is in Charlotte NC. My cell is 816-898-9894. I can email pics of anything you want. My email is retroz@excite.com.
Thanks.

Looking the pics the rear cowl is just pushed up. The subframe does not seem to be bent.

The neck of that frame is more then likely bent, 05-06 636's have about 3" clearance between front tire and lower fairing

Title is a salvage title. It has been inspected and titled so you don't have to worry about getting that done. Swingarm is straight. Not a dent, dink, or rash on it. It was wrecked in the guys neighborhood.

No, frame is good. Bearings are tight w/ no play. Forks are straight w/ no oil leaks. Even the flimsy stops are intact. The lower fairing brackets are bent a little and the right lower is cracked so it is leaning forward. It was just bad luck w/ the motor catching something.

No the frame is bent, when it was for sale in kannapolis I went to look at it and took measurements the front wheel was pushed back 3 and 3/4 inches.

Where did you take the measurements? Looking at the neck and by the feel of the bearings I don't see anything tweaked. If it is infact bent then I'll take $2000 for it. Not trying to sell someone something bad.

I did not want to argue but i can tell by the pics and tank line that the frame is BENT. Tank follows the line of the frame, on this bike the tank is sitting way higher then the frame, and like i said those bikes have about 3-4" clearance between front tire and lower fairing. On this bike there are barely any clearance at all.

Thanks for the input. The tank is actually just sitting on the bike. It does not have the bolts in it. The motor has pushed it up a little from the motor hitting something.

Motor is sitting up prpbably because the mounting points are pushed up from the frame being bent.

I measured from the center of the swingarm pivot bolt to the center of the front axel, and it was also twisted thats why the motor mount bolt on the right side doesn't line up. The motor would not drop like that with one bolt gone. To get the frame straight GMD will be about $800-$900 its not safe to ride as is.

Damn, I'd hate to see the damage from a high speed laydown. Good luck with the sell though.

If you decide to start parting out (which is where I think you can make your money on it) let me know. There are quite a few parts on it I need...
