Another NW race shop (speeddealer, well know and reliable shop) dyno'd a new 2008 Ducati 848. His dyno and ours are VERY close hp wise, @1% higher on his. He got 119rwhp SAE today! (same guy/dyno last week got 108rwhp SAE) BUH BYE 600 s/b classes (for us in OMRRA, WMRRA, etc)
Rats. My only option to look at one will be in a FL dealership. I end up leaving half my IQ behind with these numbnuts down here.
What's odd is that on the tech sheet for the 848 on Ducati.com says "Data calculated using an inertia dynamometer." I'm certainly no expert, but isn't that the type of dynos we're all used to when figuring out RWHP? Granted I know the numbers can be fudged to say anything that case. Or am I just missing something?
You need to edit your title... You're saying "something" has nearly 850 HP to the rear wheels (RWHP)...
Well isn't that the sh*ts. I assume then there is a box of cams going somewhere with a note inside, "make these like these."
