Hey guys, I've read the numerous posts about which glass is good and which is bad, but everyone has their own opinion, therefore, I want to take a poll of the cheap glass and a poll of the expensive glass. I am getting ready to buy cheap glass for my 03 sv650 This is the cheap glass poll. Yoyodyne - $470 shipped Godfather - $450 - don't know if shipped or not E-racings - $325 - don't know if shipped or not Hotbodies - $500 + $72 New Windscreen - shipped Pit-eck - $370 shipped Ignore Cheetah as it is expensive bodywork Ignore KG-Cycles as I can no longer find their race bodywork Ignore AirTech as they only have SV through 02 Please let me know if there is one I left out. Vote on which is the best overall in your opinion. Let the voting begin!
Glass to Add Anyone Know How to Edit a Poll? Well, Attack Glass is like $750 for a set, that is up there with expensive glass not cheap glass. Godfather glass still exists here: http://www.godfatherracing.com/ TroMex $510 - unsure if shipped or not
DO NOT BUY Pit Eck!!! Its the worst shit I've EVER bought I currently have Tromex, and I like it a lot:up:
is it just me or is it funny that fred voted for his bodywork? lol then again, i'd hope he'd vote for his own stuff.
I've currently got Airtech- It's heavy & stiff, but tough as hell. before that. I had a set of Cheetahs that exploded upon impact in a low-speed, lowside. if money wasn't an object, it would be sharkskins all the way- if you factor in durability and crash-worthiness, it's actually a bargain. I've seen Fred's stuff- it looks good, plus Fred sells it... Nuff said?
Not really, they haven't added a new model since 2005. I'm fairly certain that they went the way of the Dodo a few years ago.
Armour Bodies I think we all could agree that Armour Bodies are decent if not outstanding glass, however, Armour Bodies are like $800, if anyone knows how to get a set for like $600 then maybe I could afford it.
Wow... maybe they are taking orders again... My understanding is godfatherracing is now the same as OVO leathers. Maybe you can get a deal on bodywork and leathers
It's still out there, and top notch especially for the price. http://www.kgcycles.com/SV_products.htm You might have to hunt the site some, it's not as well organized as other sites. I have a new set of his SVR6 race bodywork here right now.
Armour Bodies has the Signature Series and the Pro Series(?) available. One is $800 the other is $600. I would admonish you against Hot Bodies, I just got some for my R6 and their fit AND finish both suck.
Bodywork I'm fairly certain that I'll get some armour bodies - I'm kinda split between them and yoyodyne. Any suggestions?
Give Lithium Motorsports a call 1-800-894-7190. Rob can get this done for you. You will be amazed at the price he sells the Signature Series and the Pro Series for.
