Durrani: " I’m not going to budge on that! We want to get a number of these wheels out there at this price to satisfy the first adopters, even if it means I keep taking it on the chin. Did I hear my name mentioned? Fear not, O Loyal Durrani Thread Faithful,
action to save Durrani from...errr...Durrani have already been initiated by
yours truly...in due time, mind you, in due time- you will reap the results
of my intensive intervention techniques as applied to Durrani...my years of
hard work has yielded a program of personal rehabilitation so harsh, so
demanding, that it makes SEAL training and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
look like a kids party at McDonalds by comparison...yes, in due time, you
will begin to feel the weight of a 'new' Durrani, a man saved from himself,
as it were, a man now totally dedicated to issue forth the most revolutionary
mag wheels ever seen on this planet or any other...and, in due time, when the
name of Durrani is mentioned, you will feel nothing but....AWE!

Halleluiah. I just had a vision which confirmed that Charles has indeed saved this man from himself. I saw wheels shaped objects rolling down the stairs from a high platform every 5 minutes and 2 people catching them down below in nets just like lacrosse.

Suddenly a solar eclipse stunned the audience and the cheering stopped. There was fear in their eyes and they started shouting "tiger paw". Then I saw commotion on the platform and the blue man was led away.... or was it purple, I could not tell.

Esteemed Durrani Thread Brother Rainmanrm:

As you know, my recent sojourn took me to 'strange lands' in search of an answer to this Durrani mystery...your vision is exemplary in both scope and painstaking attentiveness to important detail, such as the "nets just like lacrosse" and the "blue man" (who bears an uncanny resemblance to 'Smoking Man' in the X-Files).

What weighs heavily upon me now is your reference to the "tiger paw" chanting in your uncanny and timely Durrani vision. This is verified by Druid mystics now residing near Detroit, who have been sensing disturbing vibrations emitting from the direction of the Durrani Wheel Enclave. Apparently, and I wish to cause no emotional harm to anyone, trust me, the significance of all of this, as portended by your vision, is grave; we would all be wise to make preparation immediately for a world without wheels, a world in total mag darkness as the foretold by your psychic sighting of a solar eclipse, much like the scene in 'Apocalypso'- and, Durrani Brethren, heads will indeed roll, but no wheels. I must close off now, this has been an exhausting analysis for me...more later...we are once again indebted to Brother Rainmanrm for his dedication and breadth of mag wheel vision...

It was a damp and humid afternoon and the beating of the drums in the distance chilled the soul into a cold sweat. A restless fat midget was on the podium staring as they led the blue man away and a deep loud murmur was coming from his throat, "Now the podium is within your reach", "Now the podium is within your reach". They said that he had more brains in his little pinky than the entire village combined. The people continued to chant..."tiger paw", "tiger paw", or was it "biker law", I am not certain.

The irony. This thread is like Detroit; you never want visit but you're compelled to stop by, just to see how crappy things get.

Well put. But I don't think they're crappy, just status quo.

We are, as we write, establishing a bona fide clinic to
handle such cases as yours; compulsive Durrani Wheel
Thread watching (or observation, depending on degree
of involvement), can be dangerous and costly.

Already there have been casualties of a psychic nature.
Symptoms would include: mumbling "Durrani" during the
night hours; imagining mag wheels on your Ford Escort;
accusing family members of 'holding up' wheel production;
finding yourself staring off into space without reason;
moppering without legal authority; and conducting
yourself in an unseemly manner.

We take all reported cases very seriously, and provide
full services to include deportation and, in rare cases,
advanced electromagnetic resonance treatments.

Wheel thread watching is not for everyone.

The largest Thixomolded part produced to date is a magnesium frame for the 91 cm (36 in.) diagonal picture tube of a Panasonic TV, reported Stephen LeBeau, vice president -- sales and marketing, Thixomat Inc., Ann Arbor, Mich., at the SAE 2001 World Congress. Current emphasis is on other thin-wall enclosures and smaller structural parts, in both magnesium and aluminum.

Maybe it was the other largest thixomolded part. It is a good idea if it was executed right, but it was not (twice it seems) so why fill the air with so many false claims ? This method of making wheels (cast center bonded into a welded extruded roll formed rim) is also 1990's tech from Taiwan bicycle industry. Good luck on the patents passing from pending to issue.

Charles, do we have a new symptom of the Durrani disease?
A first post in the Durrani thread and full of of incredulity
and repressed anger. The disease is spreading.
