Bounce Stickboy Bounce
Well...for all of those who haven't heard...Stickboy was the Turn 3/4 crash on the cool down lap during the V7 race Sunday at VIR.
We started out leaving Columbia, SC Thursday afternoon and heading to Talladega, AL (5 1/2 hours). We then left Talladega Saturday after half way through the Endurance race so we could head to VIR (8 hours). Then drove home Sunday evening back to Columbia, SC (5 1/2 hours). After our long journey to VIR we get everything setup (looked as if our trailer hurled and our stuff just got tossed out)  We wait on the red flag situation ( I really hope that has a happy ending, it was pretty bad) Derek goes out, runs his race, with some interesting passing and stuff, and comes in second in his race! During the cool down lap his chain breaks and he runs over it.  Not to good since it spit him on his head and rolled him around in the dirt some. He is really sore but moving around slowly. Ankle, hip and elbow took the worst hits. We haven't even looked at the bike but to load it in the truck. The body work is trashed, but I think everything else may be OK. I want to thank everyone who helped me get our things/Derek loaded up! You know who you are since I don't think I can remember all the names that go with the faces. I LOVE YOU GUYS! HONEY  PS - I want the thank the VERY nice lady that was pitted across from us that gave me the medication for him! IT WORKED!!! I drove home in PEACE!!!

Tell him to heal up so he can continue to change my tires!
And tell him next time the bike handles better when he isn't standing up on the pegs waving to the crowd..  Congrats on the second...

Thanks for the update ... hope all is well in a few days. The plan is for me to be at CMP next weekend, so I hope to see you there. Oh yeah, and Stick too. :-)

Tell Derek to take it easy so he can get ready for CMP next weekend. Give him lot's of bed baths and he'll do fine!
