You might find this hard to believe but...

I never liked all the "whoopie watch us blow these people up - aren't we the greatest?" attitude of the Gulf War press conferences from Gen. Schwarzkopf (sp?). In my opinion though, the military put the right guy out there for their press update this afternoon. I'm sorry - is his name Lt. Col. Abizaid? Seems like an objective, well-intentioned guy doing his job. God knows I wouldn't be able to stand up there in his shoes and be as polite, non-emotional and calm following the events he had to discuss. I especially liked it when he told the guy from Al-Jazerra his opinion of his organization showing 'the tapes'.
