Yamaha Blue Paint code

Does anyone know the color code or color name? Using PPG.

Thanks, that narrows it down to about 20 different blues.

I was hoping that someone who sprays PPG might have the number.

 

Might help to know what year and model

 

It's a race bike, I was looking for the same blue that all the Yammies are painted.

 

I really want to paint mine all matte black this year with read accents

 

I looked at a bazillion paint jobs on Google Image, I'm going with the MEEN color scheme, mostly blue with some blaze orange accents.

 

Subaru blue is close.

 

Dark Cloisonne Blue - GM 4798

Not exact, but close.

 

Ford blue is darker, but that's what I've used in the past.

 

Why not just order it from color rite and get the exact match?

Here you go. PPG paint. listed as Gocart but a perfect match to the Yamaha blue. Its a pearl base that needs to be clear coated. $120 per pint. A pint paints two bikes with a little left over.

What's that run, $400 for the blue and $400 for the top coat?

 

Get in touch with Andrew Swenson. I’m sure he can match it. And he carries bodywork. So he can ship you a set that is already painted how you want it.

You just can’t have one painted in “my” blue.

 

That would be paint code $$$$$$.

 

Dude is good no doubt, hell, I can be good for the right price but most racers won't pay the "right" price. If any racer pays over 500 for a 2 tone painted race bodywork, is.... well...

I keep everything cheap so the end cost doesn't hurt the wallet.

In the 20 yrs of painting race stuff, I've had only a handful of complaints and guess what, crashed the 1st weekend on fresh stuff!
