WRX, Focus ST or Alternative?

Man Ford wasn't even on my radar until they offered me what I think is a good price on a Focus ST1. It was a sticker price $26K for $18K.

OK a little background. I would like a four door manual, more fun car to gotto work and pick up the kids.
    NEED 4 Doors.

So the best price I got on a Subaru WRX Base is ~$26 K, not the $8k in incentives compared to the ford.

I do like the WRX better but for what I want I don't believe it is $8k+ better. I do worry about Ford quality compared to Subaru.

I'm not interested in VW as an alternative.

Bummer. I was really looking at the focus st and ended up with a VW snd couldnt be happier.
Kids are kinda a deal breaker but the Fiesta st is suppose to be more fun than the focus.

I did drive the fiesta, but..... need the extra room.
I heard they will no longer offer the fiesta st to the states anymore.

    Where is the Focus??

  9. How tall are you people? My GTi I had was basically a 3 seater. The rs focus I drove was the same so assume st is going to be as well and I’m only 6’3”

Golf GTI with Performance and Lighting package. Thank me later.

No better car for it's price and they are dealing right now big time. It's an Audi interior, with a great factory package and you can modify to your heart's content. 300 hp/350tq to the wheels is easily and relatively cheap to do. Only thing is on the manual you would need a clutch change to handle all that power.

Other than that no other car in the price range gives you basically everything you want in a car.

Well I might just have to try out the VW and give them their fair shot. Its just all VWs I know have weird issues. Many German cars have funky quirks.
The ford is on the picture only b/c of the price they are offering. I will check in to the VW.

If Subaru had the incentives I'd be driving one.

I'm trying to be budget minded b/c I have two kids in private school and private high school is soon to follow.

Send the kids to public school, make me ride the bus, and buy a sports car!

Is the Ford discount enough to offset taking it in the ass in 5 years on resale value?

The st will old value way better then a standard focus and I’m sure worst case scenario he would still be ahead with ge ford.

    And I drive a Subaru....
