FP1 has Yamahas 1 and 2, Bautista 3rd, Rea 5th or 6th. Thanks for posting those times for the live videos.

 

Ten Kate / Baz not too far off the pace in FP1. The best part is they are 1.7 seconds in front of both Hondas. Karma is a bitch.

Wow the way Davis was sliding the Ducati into the corners, but still only finished 10th!

 

I noted during FP2 that the WSBK announcers spoke about how 'knife-edged' the Panigale V4R can be to set up when discussing the difference in lap times between Chaz and Bautista, and I remember Chris Broome talking on here about how difficult it could be to set up his Panigale V-twin when he was racing it. I can only imagine how tough it is to get these things set up to get the last .01% out of them.

 

Go Ten Kate! I feel bad for. Camier but can’t wait to see Honda finish behind them. I hope they show both garages on TV right after each race.

 

Rea dive bombs Lowes on the last lap for third and crashes him out. Dirty move or racing incident ?

 

Dirty? A little. At the very least waaaaaaaay optimistic of a move..

 

That’s the kind of shit he used to do when he was on the Honda.

 

There was no way in hell he was going to finish that turn without bouncing off of Lowes. Not sure what he was thinking...probably not thinking. Sucks big time for Lowes. Any penalty announced?

 

No Penalty, I'd bet lowes injured his hand/wrist on the opposite hand due to the bar being shoved into it.

 

Lowes will be lucky to escape that without a torn tendon or broken anything. The awkwardness of the glove being ripped off instantly also without his hand being dragged on the pavement was a miracle.

 

Rea has been involved in more than his fair share of "racing incidents".

 

Can we talk about the woman who got in Rea's face when he stopped to apologize at the Yamaha garage? What's her official position with Yamaha? Is there a Yamaha Europe paycheck issued with her name on it?

I was being a bit sarcastic, I had no doubt when I saw her that they go home together every evening. Her relationship with Lowes was fairly obvious. I'm asking about her relationship with Yamaha. If you're not wearing a team shirt, don't confront other racers at the racetrack.

 

On the contrary! Free of team constraints, she can whoop that ass! Racing needs characters.
