They advertise these big cases of beer that they know people would fucking buy but they don't make them available. I tried to find that 99 pack a couple years ago and it wasn't available. It's like a big stupid marketing tease. Stupid

 

a 99 case? Because one PBR isn't more than enough?

 

This is so American it brings a tear to my eye.

 

You could drink one and put the other 98 bottles of beer on the wall. It seems rather obvious.

 

Passing it around in the Covid world sounds dangerous.

Both the 99 case and 1776 case are publicity stunts. The 99 worked, so why not double down this year and go even bigger? The fact it is being discussed here says it worked. For you to find a 99 pack, your local grocery / liquor / Walmart / whatever store would most likely have to order a certain number of them and have room to put up the display. Probably not a lot of takers and some of the ones that did are probably sorry they did.

First day of my motorcycle trip last week, I stopped in Fayetteville WV and stayed at a bicycle campground that had a pub. Of course they had the usual pumpkin banana peach stout, a peanut butter and tofu porter and the ubiquitous quadruple skunk IPA. And they had a keg of PBR...$2 per pint. After 7 hours in the saddle, two of them going through the remnants of tropical depression Claudette, that PBR was one of the best tasting beers ever. Fuck all you beer snobs
