Do Alaskians still get some kind of check from the state government just for living in Alaskia? How much? Terms? Conditions? Answers to the question I didn't know to ask?
Add "becoming a furnace repairman" course to the curriculum and I'm down. Oh, and I'll have to ask you to dump the certifications and shit too.
Yep we still get the permanent fund dividend. It was $1100 last year, but that was after the state kept half to try and balance their budget. It was supposed to be $2200. You get it after having been a full time resident for 1 year.
It’s not the kids that are so bad, it’s parents and the administration. Though, maybe my experience teaching college kids was a bit different.
I'm a CFI and would LOVE to live in Alaska. Getting the rest of the family to come with me and live on a CFI salary... that's my problem. You're also way out there, right? If you were in Homer my wife would probably start packing in the morning.
