I edited my post because it was wrong. 38 and 88 (Pietri was 88) are visually close and my senile brain mixed them up. I googled a bit and discovered my mistake.
number 38 Steve Wise was always #28 and his first honda (roadrace) factory ride was on the V4. Mike Spencer had a Honda inline factory ride for a year, could be him, or not....
1982 Freddie Spencer, Mike Spencer and Mike Baldwin were on the in line 4 hondas (when they weren't blown up).
That man could ride anything. He showed up at the Houston Astradome TT races and scared the Grand National regulars on a two stroke :up: Kicked ass at Superbikers too.
