What's a NSR50 worth?

I have a buddy looking to sell his NSR50. What's the market value for one of these in near-mint condition? (about 3hrs on it)

No spares. Never raced. All original, with a Honda livery paint job. Bought it for his daughter in '05/'06; she used to ride it around the block and parking lots.

They had a brand new one at the local dealer that sat for years and if I recall correctly they were asking $2250 for it. Did not have the paint job.

 

$1200 to $1500 is about all I could see it going for. And that is if you find a person that knows what it is. Problem is there are a ton of Chinese mid bikes now that are cheaper. They suck and all, but most people don't care.

 

Like new condition is worth about $1,500 here in So Cal, easily.
