63 at night, 66 during the day.

At 72deg I am miserable. I can tolerate the AC at 66-67 during the day so I compromise and turn it up to that while she is working. But at night anything over 64 and I won't sleep a bit. I will lay there sweating and shit.

This exactly. I'm too lazy to get up at night and restoke the furnace so it swaps over to oil. Last tank was $920 so I need to get my ass outta bed!

That happens with us too. Exactly the opposite in the summer too.

  8. When me and the wife started dating she lived in a condo right on Redondo Beach.

The first time I went there I got hot and the conversation was funny...

me: "Where is the AC control?"
    her: "There isn't one"
me: "WTF??? Do you control it telepathically?"
her: "No, there is no AC"
    me: "Is it broken?"
her: "No, there isn't one there?"
    me: "Who stole it?"
    her: "It never had one"
me: "Well why the fuck not??"

It took me way too long to actually grasp there was no AC in there at all. I had never heard of that shit in my life.

When we would get visitors from Italy and the UK, the would freeze. Especially the Italian guys. The insults were hilarious.

It will be time to go to the gym and she will be like "I can't, im frozen". Or when we get out of the shower she will run to the bed to get under the covers.

It is always on whatever my wife has it set at. She jacks it up and down winter and summer, day and night to try and chase down however she happens to be feeling at the time. There is no rhyme or reason to how she tries to control the inside temp. I don't care at all as I am very tollerant of a variety of temps.

in SLC. the house is 150years old, with an underpowered boiler. 58 at night, set to 65 during the day if we're home. but it usually doesn't get much above 63.
in San Diego, i think there's a furnace. i know there's no AC. take what i get...

Isn't it odd to have the ac at 70 in the summer and sitting in shorts and a t-shirt. Come winter I got the woodstove going and it's 75, yet I'm wearing sweatpants and a hoodie.

Thermostat aet at 68 during the day and 66-67 at night. Vent balance is set to keep the bedroom a couple degrees cooler. if we get chilly in the family room/kitchen we just turn the nat gas fireplace on for a bit without touching the thermostat.
