More than anything, I’m hoping his experience / feedback puts them in even better shape for next year.
Exciting to see, but I kinda hope he doesn't do as well as Zanetti. That would go even further making the MA home boys look bad.
I disagree. Canepa is a beast. Battling (or even finishing behind) a World Endurance racer and former WSBK Ducati Factory rider isn’t anything to be embarrassed about. Not to mention the dude ran a 1:12 (setting the lap record) at Jennings on a Buell. Which says a lot, since Jennings has been a winter test track for lots of famous riders over the years. Now, if he shows up and hands everyone their ass, winning by 10+ seconds, then yeah...that would look bad. But aside from that, there are a lot worse people to be beaten by than Canepa.
Agreed. The foreigners have upped the competition level (and made the Americans better as a result)....if the homeboys truly want to be the best, got to beat the best, not pray they dont show up with their A game.
That’s nothing new. For many years, there was some foreign dude in the American series that you had to beat if you expected a ride in Europe.
Hopefully there will be some on-track shenanigans between Canepa and Zanetti-titties that result in an Italian 'high five'.
Nah...just that Henry D. from old CCS has a different opinion on what constitutes a track "lap record".
