DuckDuckGo has a browser? Thought they were just a search engine that didn’t sell your private information to China?
For those in the know...what kind of security do they have on Brave and DuckDuckGo ?? I'm not familiar with either. I use Firefox or Edge...Chrome on occasion.
Some interesting info on Brave and security/privacy I just found, since @Sabre699 asked, my Google Fu got intrigued. https://www.netsparker.com/blog/web-security/brave-browser-sacrifices-security/
Famously incompatible with a lot of websites, but since I gave up on Safari and switched to Chrome a couple years ago, I've heard its much better.
Chrome is a battery and resource hog, so if you depend on laptop battery life, there are probably better choices.
When I need to search for something on Altavista, I fire up the old 28.8 through the Netscape Navigator.
Chrome is a google product. They're tracking the ever loving sh*t out of you. I guess Brave isn't quite as "safe" as they say, but it sure is faster. However, while I don't know if it's able on apple, I'd say mozilla with the ghostery plug-in.
Yep. This is the problem I am having. I figured Chrome was a top option. I was trying to stay away from anything Google if possible. My reasons why would lead us down a deep rabbit hole. Thanks everyone for the replies.
Chrome or Firefox. If you don't like Google and don't mind missing out on all the integration it offers with Google products, then Firefox.
