    2030?

They are welcome to give it a shot.

They keep talking about 2030 model year vehicles. I wonder how long manufacturers can keep selling 2029 model year gasoline and diesel powered vehicles in the state. :D

So these "green" jobs...will there be enough to replace the carbon jobs they are eliminating?
Will they be making tires from something other than petroleum?

Any national company registers their fleet elsewhere, locals get screwed.

If wooden wheels were good enough for your great grandparents, they are good enough for you.

If they pass this, they should be barred from dumping any "Green Refuse" in any other state.

Or the plastics, electronics...actually the whole dang thing is made from or using petroleum products.

Well, they will have to cut down trees to make the wheels...the environment will still suffer.

“Washington state is capable of developing its abundant and inexpensive sources of electrical energy to supply the energy needed for a gradual transition to a fully electric fleet of passenger vehicles“.

Energy is neither created or destroyed.

Smoke and mirrors allow liberals to feel better about their miserable selfs.

Depends on how many states jump on this bandwagon by then. It might make it worthwhile to keep selling the 2029 for a year or so anyway if the model was unchanged that year. Probably not the whole lineup, but if you best seller was not changed, why not?

Capable as in not yet ready. That also ignores how the grid works in general it seems. Also if passenger vehicles all go electric what happens to the fueling stations needed for commercial vehicles, get further and further apart. Like any government mandate the unintended consequences are the fun part

Kind of like 'eliminating carbon', innit?
