Did anyone check out the 2 hour premier of the new HBO series Vinyl last night? It looks like it might be pretty good. I really enjoyed the Led Zeppelin Madison Square Garden scene. The dialog of Peter Grant trashing the guy over counterfeit shirts was straight out of the film 'The Song Remains the Same'.
So Jim Morrison returned from the dead for a final threesome in an airplane that flew for the first time in 1979. Favorite lines: - "this, Zak, this is how people get their noses broken. I'm just putting it out there in the universe." But honestly, several of the lines on the plane trip were just as good. Including "I partly see your point." - "Wow, pheasant just just lands on your shotgun, doesn't it?"
Pretty good episode. Like the pheasant line also. I am surprised how much I like Ray Romano in this show. I guess he can act. And Doogie Howser's little buddy has a cool character too!
"Men of a Certain Age" probably did not get big ratings but if you saw that, you knew he could carry a dramatic role. Not just a comedian.
I did watch that show, I thought it was good, he surprised me. I just never really cared for his comedic side.
Exactly - dad too on occasion. Ray is funny I guess, his stuff just doesn't do a lot for me but I do at least get why people find it funny.
Rays brother and his dad especially, made that show. The only good thing that show did was spinoff King of Queens.
