Yes, Dana was saying in an interview the other day he signed a 6 fight deal.

    Damn. Didn't know that.

11 years as a top shelf pro is a grind. I guess we'll find out if it was a bad night or if the hunger is gone.

That was the rumor I had heard also before the fight, he was retiring at 27-0...

Of course, after the fight he basically gave Dana White a concrete hard erection with the post fight brawl... WWE couldn't have scripted that better for a rematch that guarantees big bucks.

I really don't think Conor expected much of a fight and trained properly...maybe octagon rust? Either way, I believe everyone, even non UFC fans, had that fight going to Conor before the opening bell rung.

100%..... Totally reminded me of how Tyson looked walking into the ring to fight Buster....not good!

FWIW- Conor has supposedly said last night or this morning that he can't wait for the rematch....I don't think anyone's going anywhere anytime soon. However, Dana hinted that Khabib might have problems and he's waiting to see what the Nevada gaming commission does or recommends.....the Governor was present at the fight and had to be whisked away when the melee broke out so we'll have to see if he put 'the call' in or not...lol

He does not deserve a rematch. He got owned. Guy talks the absolute most shit in MMA history and can't back it up.

Everyone but Vegas. Khabib was a -170 to win the fight.

I am in Vegas and it was absolute mayhem outside t-mobile and on the casino floors. People were going nuts and yes, Khabib was a big favorite at -170. I’m not into the UFC stuff but people were flying in from everywhere.

Aria craps pits were at $100 minimums all day yesterday. Multiple blackjack tables on the floor for $100 and $500 minimums. I’m not talking in the high limit room - on the casino floor and they were packed.

There is big money in the UFC stuff for Vegas so I’d be willing to bet there will be a deal made and Khabib will pay a big fine and be back in the octagon.

I watched it free on YouTube this morning. :D

Few things stuck out to me...

Conor looked a bit out of shape. But, being pinned down for a round can take a lot out of 'ya. Khabib kept his weight up on Conor (ala Randy Couture) that whole 1st round. Then there toward the end of Rd 1 he had some good shots on Conor. May not look like much to some of you, but believe it set the tone.

I thought the 3rd round Khabib didn't do too bad striking, and he DID knock Conor down earlier.

Unless Conor just all of sudden doesn't enjoy fighting..... he'll keep fighting in the UFC.

I get that people hate Conor. He's so good at promotion that people can't see through it (especially Khabib evidently), but he's always gracious in defeat.

The tweet you referenced said, "Good knock. Looking forward to the rematch."

You don't have to look that hard to see plenty of evidence that his persona, although authentic, is an alter ego. It's a smart business move and a great mental tactic, it just doesn't work on someone who grew up wrestling bears in Dagestan. :D

What makes you say that? I didn't get that from Dana's post fight interviews at all. This was a Black eye for UFC. Dana said the Governor was there and was seen walking/running out after the melee started.

Now, the UFC isn't gonna shut down, etc., but it wasn't good for the UFC. :( There will be some changes on-going to keep the fighters in the cage after fights, etc.

I don't believe he deserves an immediate rematch, but another fight at least beforehand. That is if Khabib doesn't get beat before a rematch.

Just a gut feeling, but I believe a rematch would be a much better all around fight. Conor knows exactly what to prepare for. Not saying he'd win, or lose, but think it'd be better. But, like JBraun :Poke:.... I could be completely wrong. :D

That’s a big if too. Since they’ll probably try (a fourth time) to match him with Tony, there’s a very good chance Conor/khabib 2 will be for a title shot against Ferguson.

Ferguson may be the only guy in the division who’s happy to go to the ground with that monster.

Just for fun, I watched two of Conor's fights for comparison sake, man, there is no question he didn't look right last night. Watch the Mendez bout and you'll see a much more active and energetic Conor at the start of the fight. I really think he just miscalculated Khabib and didn't expect him to be as strong as many have said....a rematch will def be interesting but as stated, I'd make him fight another contender first, winner of that gets to fight the champ. Maybe a Ferguson v McCregor is in order? Tony was talking a BUNCH of shit in the post fight interview about both of these guys soooo thinking it'd be a good match for the run up.

There’s video out that shows Connor threw the first punch at the other corner crew...might be why he didn’t want to press charges.

That's a fight I'd love to see. Tony being a bjj blackbelt, and being able to strike ,will give Habib more of a fight. As long as both of them stay out of the hospital beforehand.

Haven’t kept up with it as much lately. What all were Connor and his crew saying beforehand?

Khabib won't be getting the title, due to post fight.Probably gonna get a big suspension/fine.
He also didnt get fight purse, last I read? Conor's not done,he's gonna have to do more work
next time, than he did for this fight.
You know there will be a rematch, and people will go bat shit to see it again

They’ve withheld everything while it’s under review from Nevada gaming. Hasn’t lost it yet but will definitely be a fine.
