If you think you want a truck camper cuz you don't think you can take a trailer to where you need 4x4, you haven't finished thinking. Do an image search for offroad campers, you'll see what I mean. I'd much rather be towing weight than carrying it. Way cheaper than a truck camper, too.
Yep it was 13x9 foot. It had A/C, a queen size air mattress and I could stand up and put my leathers on in it. It was 250 with the A/C unit. Seems like a better deal to me for alittle better set up since you have the same amenities practically.
I have an older SunValley Apache 6’er in my Taco. It does what I need for a track weekend or a week on the road.
If you wanna go cheap, look on Copart auctions.Maybe look for hail damaged,or normal wear and tear category . I was looking last night and found 2 truck top campers just browsing at campers. My wife wants a 5th wheel so we can go travel nursing for her job. This would allow me to be a stay at home trailer trash mom raising our dogs.
Buy an ambulance! All aluminum construction, wired, heat, A/C, insulated, can be configured to store bikes in the back... I've seen 4x4 f450s and dodge 4500s sell for under 10k. Just have to do a little remodeling on the inside. I got mine off of publicsurplus.com but govdeals.com usually has a lot more.
This was mine. I since sold it, but always looking out for another good deal. btw this was not a 4x4 haha
This is my plan. I've got a group of buddies that I 4wheel with. We are going to do a group build - offroad camping trailer and share it. I'm thinking about starting with a .gov auction military trailer, but might start from scratch.
just buy a short bus with a wheel chair lift . get creative, take out some of the seats got room . interior stuff is out there. do it your way, lots of buses on ebay. chair lift to load the bike or bikes.
