I just bought an older AMB TranX 260 from a fellow member. It appears to be functioning properly, but it hasn't be used in many years. Is there a way to test it's functionality before I go to my first race next year? I'd hate to find out last minute that there is an issue.

 

As long as it charges up I've never heard of one that didn't work. Just see if it gets a green light that blinks 3 or 4 times after charging.

 

Have it on your bike for the first practices to make sure.. still kind of last minute, but better than getting DQ'd or fined if it doesnt work during the race.

 

even if it doesnt...plenty of time to get a new battery.

 

Charging gets me three blinks, so I believe that part is ok. I guess I will just have to wait until the first practice to find out for sure. Thanks

 

make sure you register it with them when you sign up.... then check practice sheets for your name,,
